Fun Stuff Nearby

The Chapel Hill/Durham area of North Carolina is wonderful! There are great restaurants, parks and trails, shopping, and fun streets to walk around.
Here's an overview of the towns and cities in the area:

We'll start with Chapel Hill -- a lovely town and home to the University of North Carolina. The main street of downtown fun stuff near campus is Franklin Street.

Follow Franklin Street west and you'll find yourself in downtown Carrboro, which is pretty much a little extension of Chapel Hill. Carrboro is very walkable, with lots of great shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. The Hampton Inn is located right in the heart of Carrboro, and a 10 minute drive west on NC 54 will take you to the Rigmor House.

From Chapel Hill, drive about 15 minutes northwest on Rt. 15-501 and you'll find yourself in the city of Durham, home to Duke University. Downtown Durham is in the midst of some really cool revitalization, and there are a lot of sweet new restaurants and businesses to explore.

From Chapel Hill, drive about 15 minutes northeast on NC 86 and you'll find yourself in the small town of Hillsborough, where Caitlyn grew up. Hillsborough's historic downtown is adorable and fun to walk around.
